engine oil filter

Hi I have a old Briggs engine on a wheel horse from 1978/9 after spending a fair amount on the engine I decided I would change the oil but I could not see he oil filter does it have one ? I presumed it did as the engine on my mtd does in addition there s no oil dipstick just one of those screw caps that says fill oil so how much do you put in? do you fill it to the brim? thanks in advance

Oil filters on mowers is relatively new, other than a few kohlers, and maybe others. If you have the cap down on the oil pan to add, and, or check oil with no dipstick tube, then fill it to the top of the threads.
