dura force recoil fix

was working on a dura force recoil last Sunday changing the plastic shroud from a silver to a gold series and after cutting the rope to take off the handle it slipped out of my hand and wound into the recoil.This is not good.Lost the preload on the recoil spring .I pulled the rope back out but with out the spring preloaded with tension it will not retract the rope.So I took the rope off completely and wound the recoil to give the spring some snap {2 full turns}and secured it with a nyla tie making sure the hole for the rope end was near the rope hole on the cover.I then fed the rope through and placed the knot in the slot I cut off the tie and the recoil took the rope. This worked and will save a lot of time the next time I have to do one.however the next time I will put a pinch clamp on the rope so it will not retract into the recoil
