Long story short - I'm going out of my mind and I should be able to fix this - I'm certain. But, alas, I give up. Maybe all of you know how to do this, but I don't. All my bolt holes matched up and I have it installed and I even have the starter turning (albeit only when I put a wire to the hot part of the solenoid and another to the switch ... I replaced the switch a year or two ago and I keep this thing garaged so I don't think the switch should be bad, but that's NOT my primary issue). My primary issue is that I can get it to run and I know (or, I think I know) that my problem is the wiring. I thought it could have been the solenoid, but after watching every YouTube video on the subject I could find and finally figuring out how to test my 3-pole solenoid (and also buying a 4-pole solenoid), I think it's just fine (especially since when I can get the starter to turn with a switch).

I've thought of yanking out some of the safety switches like the dead-man's switch on the left handlebar. I've getting a little older and I just can't keep gripping on it anyway. It's got a green wires in/out that then go to the mower blade clutch switch (I don't really want to cut out the safety on that one for obvious reasons). Can I just take the entire green wire out to bypass that hand-grip safety?

Anyway, so I need to figure out which wires go where. I've got a bunch of photos. This mower has a fuel solenoid with white wire and black wire coming out of it and I have no idea where they need to go. I also have a black wire coming out, I suspect, from the alternator, but I don't know if that goes to ground or to the hot terminal on the battery. Ideas, please (right one's would be sincerely appreciated)!
