Cub Cadet RZT won't drive on left side when it gets warmed up. Could this be a viscosity issue? Would changing the oil help?

Changing oil might help if you overheated the oil and made it boil. But, most likely the pump has gotten worn out inside the transaxle amd letting the oil pass through wothout building up pressure. Happens when oil gets warmed up and passes through the pump gap without building pressure.

The left side tends to run slower than the right when under pressure because it is on the slack side of the belt
Makers of better quality mowers finally recognised the and changed the belt run so the left pulley has around 3/4 circumference of contact .
And on top of that the left hydro gets a lot more dust thrown over it which inhibits cooling on the left more than the right .
Changing the oil may help
Changing the oil to a higher viscosity will help
You can not do any more damage so go for the heavy oil while you research rebuilding the tranny
The pump & motor are serice items and there is a drop in replacement available
