Model #917-272673, approximately 5-6 years old. Replaced battery and solinoid and still will not start. Check fuse, cleaned terminals and still will not start. Any suggestions?

You say it won't start. Do you mean the engine cranks, but doesn't fire. Do you have spark? Does the engine have a fuel solenoid on the carb. Does it click when you turn the key on.

Does not make a clicking noise at all. Replaced solenoid for starter. Don't know anything about a fuel solenoid, if it has one or not. How can I tell if it has a fuel solenoid on the carb? It's like it does not have a battery at all on it but it's a brand new battery, bought yesterday to try to fix it.

The fuel solenoid will be at the bottom of the carb bowl, with wires attached to it if it has one. Do you have 12v to the solenoid. Without knowing how many terminals the solenoid has. If it has two big terminals and two small terminals. You need 12v to one of the small terminals with the key in the start position, and continuity to ground on the other small terminal wire.

You could take the air filter off and spray some starter fluid in it, then see if it starts. If it does then you most likely have a fuel issue, if it doesn't start check your spark.
