Hi, i have a Craftsman 30'' riding mower model: 944.601380 did some work on it, i changed the friction wheel and cleaned up
all the traction parts. While waiting for the parts to be shiped all the parts where put into boxes. When i was ready to install everything
i realised that the box was full of oïl, i lost all the oïl of my subasm final drive and my problem is that i can't find no reference on what oïl to use and
how many to use, probebly half of the casing will be ok. The subasm final drive part number is 944.441936 (Subasm or differential).
The only thing I see on the Subasm final drive is parts numbers of the two parts Casing 435731 and 435732 01 no other information.
A small engine repair man told me to put Alvania EP grease but again not sure there use to be oïl in that casing not grease?????
One mechanic that I know sugested SAE 90, but no one are sure at 100%. Looking for parts I found that 944.441936 is a Craftsman number
and 532.441936 that is changed to 532443989 seems to be a Husqvarna number am I wrong? Husgvarna had the same parts on one of theirs riding mower or they had the same mower?
If I don’t find any other reference it will be SAE 90.

Can someone help me?
I am desperate!
Thanks!

I know you posted back in Jan. I am trying to rebuild my drive. Do you have any pic of how the clutch plates go back together? Do you know the diameter of the 3 ball bearings?
Thanks
