Problem: Lawn tractor starts with trottle wide open- any ideal what cause this. I cut a yard- turn the mower off- set for and hour and than went sky high.

Problem: Lawn tractor starts with trottle wide open- any ideal what cause this. I cut a yard- turn the mower off- set for and hour and than went sky high.

Check and make sure nothing kinked your throttle linkage and that the governor spring/linkage is still atached as it should be. If the engine is running sky high as you say it will most likely be a governor issue. Good luck
