Yardworks push mower says engine model is B&S 675exi

The numbers on the broken fan are : PP-GF30

Just need to know for sure which fan it takes and ironically when I search on B&S website they could not find 675exi lol. Like that is not their engine... terrible search feature not looking for model numbers clearly.

Thanks everyone!

PS. Also, I presume running the mower without the fan can cause overheating, correct? Any idea how soon? Is 5-10 minutes safe or not in, say, 75 F degrees weather?

Because 675exi is not a model number but a series number. You need the actual model number which will be in the format which is 6 numbers/letters followed with 4 numbers and then a letter and number. With more numbers/ letters afterwards. that engine may have it stamped into the side of the block next to the muffler. Also it many have a serial number sticker which the dealers can use to look up the model number.

Or on the engine's metal shroud. The 675exi is a 103Mxx series engine and there is a least two different fans used on that series. That series consists of over 200 different OEM engine specific configs.

BTW PP-GF30 is just a recycle code for the plastic part.

Of the handful that I looked I came up with the following two fans>
594102 - about 100 of 103M models used this one.
595182 - 7 103M used this one.
so there be at least a third fan use on the rest of the 103M engines and there could be more. I just too lazy to go thru all 200+ engine IPLs this morning especially with my headache.

Now another question (sorry!), are any other parts needed to attach this fan? Assuming they are all broken as the old fan was shredded and only flywheel is left intact (and the starter recoil mechanism). Mower starts and runs great , just need to attach the fan to flywheel.

Should be just held on by the starter cup, washer, and nut.

Thanks again bud.

I need to contact B&S as these parts like the starter cup and fan itself are 2.5x more expensive on Canadian Amazon than US B&S website. It would cost me $100 to get the fan replaced, which is a bit sad considering a brand new mower costs $300. There has to be a cheaper way to get it in Canada. (Damn, it is so simple in the USA, i can order it right there on their site, all the bolts , nuts and cups... for decent prices, $37 total for everything, which is like 50 CAD, not 100, and I just checked and the Canadian site, of course, does not have an online store, duh, as always...).

Lastly, I presume running the mower without the fan can cause overheating, correct? Any idea how soon? Is 5-10 minutes safe or not in, say, 75 F degrees weather? Any guesstimates what is and is not safe?
