I have 5 old 3-4 h.p. b&s engines. 2 questions. How do you test the condensor? What is part number and good place to purchase an eloctronic magneto for these engines, in particular model # 92908 2059-01 79110225 and92902 1279 01 75060? Thanks

The part number for the module is 591420 which may not look like the one that is on it now.

Yep.
Connect it to the wire that goes to the points.
They come with wiring instructins in 3pt type that you need a microscope to read.
Usually you mount it under the control wire plate
They get hot so must be in an air flow.
Do not mount them under the flywheel or they will cook.

Does this part eliminate the points and condensor?

Remove the two mounting screws for the old module, grab the wire going to the points and pull. You should be able to pull the wire out of the points without removing them or the flywheel. Then install the new module as the included instruction say. Most will come with a replacement kill wire.

Basically there are now only 2 modules
One for 4 strokes which has an advance built in
One for a 2 stroke with no advance

That number fits both engines, and they were looked up using the briggs and stratton dealer site as a logged in dealer.
