Clockwise, counter clockwise...

This may be a question that has no answer other than that's just the way it is, buy why is it that a majority of small engine pto's rotate CounterClockwise? i know Kawasaki made a few FE engines for club car and Mule's that rotated CW.

Most large engines are the same. Some airplane engines are built to rotate the opposite way.
