Bronco 600 bronco exhaust pipe threads bad shape

Are the motor holes a regular 5/16" thread?
A 5/16 bolt might be recut but other is too big.
I have never tried thread inserts.

Buy a 5/16-18 Helicoil kit. Everything should come with the kit you will need for the repair except a drill motor.
