I have a B&S push mower that was recently tuned up. The last time I cut the grass the mower ran all the way out of gas and I did not fill it up until a week later when I wanted to cut again. The mower will crank if you prime it a lot but cuts off immediately. We got it to run for about 30 sec by continuously pushing in the primer bulb. Any ideas on why it is not getting gas. I know the gas is good. I have had no problems since the tune up. Any help is appreciated.
If it is a smaller motor with the carb mounted directly on the fuel tank, the gasket and diaphragm could be bad. The kit is like $3, and is easy to install. If the carb is below the tank on a fuel line, then it could be a clogged jet, so it is not siphoning fuel, but if you squirt gas directly into the venturi, it will run. The most common clogged jet is the one on the nut that holds the bowl on. Let me know more about your motor and I can help you trouble shoot a little better.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume it's a bowl type carb....If you ran it bone dry, it could be as simple as the float is stuck OR on the last suck up picked up some trash from the bottom of the fuel tank and you now have a stopped up carb. Drop the bowl, spray some cleaner up the center main jet, the blow it out with compressed air. Try it & post back...Good Luck!
