I have a 10hp horizontal shaft engine model #204412-0163E1 I am trying to find the flywheel or ring gear for electric start. I ordered a new flywheel from briggs and stratton p/n 794814 but it doesn't have ring gear. The parts lookup pic shows it with ring gear but it doesn't have one. Can anyone tell me a correct part number for complete flywheel with ring gear or which ring gear I need? Thanks!

Leave it to briggs to show an engine with electric start but only have the recoil starter only flywheel. According to Jack's small engine you need to order the 794812 to get the one with ring gear.

Thanks but unfortunately that number doesn't seem to be available any longer and I don't see any supercedes related to that number

The last time I show was available was back in when my last price file update and since then it has become unavailable which like other company are too lazy to update us like they once did. This is why it is now showing -NOS (New Old Stock) here which of course I don't have one.

Unfortunately this is what we have to deal with today's Briggs. They filed bankruptcy, brought by a financial investment company, and now have poeple too lazy to do their job of keeping us updated or stock slow moving parts. Otherwords the parts has to be flying off the shelves like hot cakes or they don't restock them.

I even had a two year old Briggs engine that I couldn't get any parts for. Under warranty yet unrepairable.
