Hi everyone,
Today I bought a Bolens ST-160 Hydro Eliminator with Briggs and Stratton 18HP. It's all electric clutch deck and blades. It's in really good shape. What I'm looking for is before it brake I'm trying to find a repair (service)manual and where to find parts.
I have Google that but I couldn't find anything for it.
So I would appreciate very much that you help me on this.
Thank you all

Your English is much better than my French.
But 99% of the people on this list are in the USA and we are a good lot so if no one knows, no one will answer .
Ilinformed guesses are for Face Book.
I am in Australia & it is a model I have never heard of and very well could be an EU only model name.
Adding a photo will allow us to tell if it is a model we know with a different name
Adding the full engine number including the serial number will allow us to date the machine
Up until Bolens became a brand name owned by MTD they published good service manuals

I used to have a ST-16. There are differences depending on the engine and year made. Bolens specific parts will probably be hard to find as old as it is. Not sure where you can find a manual.

That body shape looks like what we were sold as the Suburban Tractor ( ST ) series
If so this is your manual

Parts will be very hard to find but most can be made by any reasonable machinist .
There is a Bolens specialist in the USA who carries or makes parts for old Bolens tractors I will see if I can dig out his contact details.
From memory that manual came from the Bolens forum or the Troy Bilt forummanualsLib
If you search for "bolens Suburban: you should have more luck like this from

Sorry for the delay answering. I couldn't find my model 402707 1060 16hp twins and stratton 656cc engine in there referd manual. This mower has an electric clutch and the deck rise electric.
I'm experiencing a charging problem. At the generator I get 27 volts AC at full throttle. I bought a new battery and I get 12.74 dc volts motor not running. Went running I get 12.62 dc volts and if I unplugged the positive battery wired engine running prob on negative and positive probe on the positive wired unplugged from battery I get 17.67 dc volts.
Now this 16hp twin is 1983 or 1985 model
I do not know if the wiring as been tempers with. I can't find any converter to dc anywhere.
I can see at the generator output 2 wire a white and a red. The red goes to the switch. And from the switch its on red and white wire that goes to the starter really.
Hope I'm giving enough information that somebody will be able to help.
If missing info just let me know.
Appreciate your help and information getting from this site. Have a great day to you all. Gilles
