Blight on Plums

My plum trees have blight. Now that the leaves have started dropping, it's really obvious. Should I take them down now, or wait until spring?

The best thing to do is to prune the infected branches asap. I always cut to around a foot (12 inches) below the infected part. Oh and don't forget that your shears need to be cleaned/sterilised between cuts to avoid spreading the problem.

I'm thinking of taking out the whole row of trees. Most of the branches are infected, and I'm afraid the tree wouldn't survive such a drastic pruning.

What other trees can blight infect?
