I'd like to correct a bit of swirling that I attribute to blade track definitely out of spec on 7268, one side measures a bit high not front to rear. It's more noticeable at lower cutting heights.

But I'm a little unclear exactly where the shim is added. I'll figure it out but some advice wouldn't hurt.

Remove both halves of the muffler plate, correct? Then, place the shim between mower housing and top half of muffler? The original lawnboy instructions are a little cryptic. Thanks for any assistance.

Well installed the shim and am impressed with what a little blade tracking adjustment can do. Cut is noticeably improved. This is one of those attention to detail type things that's important.

One detail I missed btw, one of square head bolt that secures the muffler plate, directly below the cylinder head, is not able to be re-installed unless the engine is removed. Again. Slip that bad boy in thar when you do this, to save bad words and impure thoughts.
