My 6 or 7 year old Z Master has been perfect until now. There have been a few times when I had to jiggle the controls to get it started but it always started. It starts OK but I can not keeo the blade running. Pull up the switch and the blades run but then the switch goes down and the blades stop. Bad switch???

If the switch plunger drops down & shuts the blades off but the blades restart no problems when the plunger is pulled back up again then yes the switch is bad & needs to be replaced
It is an easy job
While you have the dash panel out check the wires for corrosion at the key switch plug, the fuse box & the PTO switch
Liberal application of grease after will not hurt
The 3 Z-Masters I look after all corroded through the power supply terminal to the hour meter which is also the control module for the safety switches .
