I recently purchased a used Bad Boy ZT Elite 60”. The seller told me it was a 2017 and that it had only 37 hrs on it. After looking the serial number up I found out it’s actually a 2015. I’m wondering if this were an honest mistake or is this machine not what I was told it was. Primarily, my concern is how does a 5yr old machine only have 37 hrs. Does anyone know if the hour meter being rolled back is possible or likely?

Possible yes
Probable no
37 hours would be a single season
No they can not be modified or rolled back but they can be replaced

That’s what concerned me. That seems like way too few hours for a 5 year old machine. Possible he used it the year he bought it and downsized properties afterward. Thanks, I’m probably just being paranoid.

I’m trying to sell a 1999 25 hp Mercury with less than 10 hrs, for a widow. Yes it is possible.

this ^^^^^^^

but it shows the manufactured date, not the sell date

i can see a mower made in 2015 sitting in a warehouse waiting to be shipped out for a year and then be in show room for a year and not selling until 2017

especially if its a high priced mower, so those hours can very well be accurate
