Hi everyone, I have a 900d mower and I couldn't figure out how to take the tension off of the pulley (it is number 53 in this diagram I think), do I loosen one of the bolts? I can see the spring behind it like it is pictured in the diagram but when I loosen either of the two bolts, the tension doesn't come off of it. Is this part not the tensioner for this belt? It is called the "Idler Arm Assembly" in the parts list. My serpentine belt jumped teeth and I think I caused it because I was trying to loosen the tension.

From what I see you would need to completely remove the idler arm to clean the pivot. Remove the belt as to relieve as much tension as you ca. You will be able to remove all of it but should be able to a manageable level. Once off you will probably find that items 53, 54, and 56 are binding up. Should be able clean and lube them but depending how bad they are replacement may be necessary.

Having a spring hook tool at hand can be of use too.
