Having trouble getting my LawnBoy Briggs and Stratton, 6.50 with Ready Start to start.

I tuned it up- replaced the plug, oil, filter, (it was emptied of gas after the last use) I half filled with fresh gas.

Its not turning over. I cant find the primer. Looks like it should be here, lawnboy.jpg

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Your engine has a temperature controlled automatic choke, no manual choke or primer. Google: B&S manuals, enter engine number 126t02-3212-b1, operators manual & parts list. Engine cold adjust valves to specs. page 9.

Try some starting fluid, if it runs for a few seconds then its a fuel issue, if it does not pop off then you have a spark issue. Draining fuel can cause it to gum up when the remaining gas evaporates.

Ready start doesn't have a primer.

That is what I was beginning to think.

Instead it has a fuse I think. Is that correct? If so, where can I find that?

Mark has added info to his post.

If it's electric start then there's a fuse.
So what exactly is the problem, you said not starting then not turning over, then asking about primer? This will help all those trying to help.

I am looking for a schematic or picture of where the fuse is located and what type of fuse it is.

I used some ether to get it going and it started for a couple of seconds. I am not even sure there is a fuse at this point.

Going to clean up the carburetor tomorrow.

Any help with any of these topics will be greatly appreciated.
