How often do I need to adjust the valve clearance, if at all, on my mower with the Generac 27hp engine. This mower is new to me. Thanks for any response.

Most of the "big name" engine manufacturers recommend every 250-300 hrs.....and I WOULD recommend it!

Per Owners Manual for the GTH760/GTV760.

CHECKING AND ADJUSTING VALVE CLEARANCE
Check valve lash and adjust (if necessary) after the first 50 hours
of operation and every 100 hours thereafter.

Correct clearance is 0.002-0.004 inch (0.05-0.1mm) for both
intake and exhaust valves.
