1993 Lb 10201 throttle spring

Hi guys.

No matter how I configure this sb, I can't get the throttle lever to stay in lever "F". On a Walbro LMR16 carb. This pos is the absolute bane of my existence. I need some help, PLEASE!! On my third throttle spring. Pops out of lever at choke, and gets bent when throttling up.
I don't know who is more tired of me working on this, me or the wife. I'm at my absolute wits end.
All help and advice appreciated.

Thanks Mark,

I've had 2 replacement springs, one from Parts tree and one from M&D. I don't think either was OEM. Do you think there is a difference? These 2 springs just seem a fuzz short, but at almost $10.00, I'm hesitant to put anymore money in this .
