16hp vanguard swap

I got a husqavarna 42 inch cut zero turn with a 21hp Kawasaki that's blowing smoke so I want to put a 16hp v twin vanguard that's good to put on it..my question is will that be a big enough motor ..

In theory it should work, In reality, you will have to mower slower, and won't have nearly the power. I always try to go at least the same HP or larger than the original engine.
