Mower has fuel in the exhaust port, the box under the deck. Have another 10323 that. Is dry in that box. Any ideas what the problem could be? Thanks

Does this mower have a fuel shut off between the carb and the gas tank? This needs to be shut off after every use if so.

Yeah, they do this. Pick up the back of the mower and drop it from about 6" and see if the float still sticks. If the muffler wasn't above the deck, it would sit there and drain the tank if you let it. Just another LB peculiarity. Another possible aid would be to use Startron in your 2-cycle mower fuel at about 1/2 oz/2 gal. You could use more, you can't use too much. Definitely helps things work cleaner.

Had a spare carb so swapped it out. Seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks to all responders.

Also check iff there is petrol in the engine oil. There might be iff the float needle was leaking.
