Just did my homework and going to buy another YTX12-BS, the other battery is too small for the size of the engine application. I could go one battery size up (YTX14-BS) but I don't see the need to.

The machine has a 12hp 42 inch deck that in 2020 I installed a YTX12-BS battery (10Ah/180CCA) Can/should I use a ST5L-BS (4.5Ah/80CCA)? Was the first battery selection overkill?

Right on my piston the number is 13001-7031, yes I know that. To put this to rest I bought ring set 13008-0583 for this piston.

I have a set of OEM rings #13001-7031 L,0.5 Are these file to fit rings? Also the only markings on them is blue paint on one ring. So which ring is the top one?

I've tried two now, one from Amazon and one from Ebay and both failed resistance testing. From what I dug up the primary side should be 160 to 200 ohms and the secondary should be 1.2 kilo ohms to 1.8 A real OEM coil if I'm correct is like $130. Any ideas?

You got that right. Funny I contacted Troy-Bilt to ask about parts for this and they said I could only get a short block. Contacted MTD and it was the same place but a different phone number.

I have a Husqvarna 150BT I've been piecing together also. It does run but spark plug hole needs a heli coil (which I have). If you know anyone I need the air filter cover gasket and outside cover for it.

Being this blower is a splash system are there ways to prevent the problem from happening? This is a back pack blower and I would think not much tilting goes on compared to a trimmer.

If it spits out the intake the exhaust valve is not opening enough. Being that the exhaust is not set correctly the engine is getting choked do to lack of air flow. You have tried more than one carb with the same results so the carb/float level doesn't come into play.

The Briggs serial number should be on the fan blower housing, either on a bent tab or on the housing in another location.

2300 watt generator. Name on blower housing label is Ajax Corporation. I think this is the serial number for it S/N 28235.

The primary side wire has the condenser soldered between the points and coil. I didn't check it as I didn't know if it would effect the ohm reading.

Thanks for your reply. The fan housing cover says this is a 210F I looked that up and come to a dead end. 210D seems to be the most common engine family. How can disconnecting the kill wire to the system not make spark ? The kill wire grounds the system so there isn't any spark.

Spec number for this engine on fan housing #315592A I checked and no spark. disconnected kill wire to coil and still no spark. Pulled the flywheel and check flywheel key, found good. Inspected the points and the contacts are clean, checked with ohm meter disconnected from primary wire to coil...
