OK, since we've wandered over to this discussion, for those of us who are 'homeowners', and don't want to have to go see you guys every couple of years, what do you think of something like this? Yey? Nay?

    Vibrations on my ZT34

I'm running G5 gator blades with the slightly heeled deck. HD ZT 60. Didn't use the mulching blades that came with the mulch kit after 2 seasons. Lousy summer cut. Mow slow, mow dry and don't cut too much at a time.......

15W50 vs 20W50 for the hydros

Good deal guys. Appreciate all the comments. I'll quit worrying. Only thing that had me double-guessing was the fact that I was adding slight amounts to the reservoir, like ounces. Did the purge correctly. Thought that maybe I was somehow burning up some of the lighter oil. Just need to take a...

15W50 vs 20W50 for the hydros

Before changing out the hydro oil in 2 Gravely HD ZT 60's I googled what weight of oil to use, from Gravely. Says in the owners' manual 15W50. So I does that. Then one of you smart guys says "20W50". Crap! I want to do the right thing as one of the mowers belongs to my DIL and it a new mower...

Gravely ZT 2348 XL left Hydro barely moves after pushing.

So, was it running low on oil? And when you say right side will not pull at low speed are you talking about the engine RPM'S or actual speed of the mower?

Question on running a mulching kit year 'round

I've got a Gravely HD ZT 60" that throws leaves rather than cut 'em. So I purchased a mulching kit. Works great but it's a real pain for this old(er) guy to switch it out in the fall & spring. So I'm wondering about running it full time. Other than possibly cutting slower, and cleaning out the...

Sorry, steering damper. https://www.gravely.com/en-us/part/gravely-zero-turn-mower-damper-00188700 But my gosh it looks like they have doubled in price. Thanks Donald.....

Has anyone ever adjusted the hand brake on a Gravely ZX HD 52

My ZT HD 60 did the same thing, down to the same side. I replaced the damper and that solved it. It had just grown weak.

Leaving clippings on top of the lawn, looks ugly

A little background. 60" Gravely HD ZT, Oregon high-lift blades. Being retired, I mow fairly often, 3-4 days, have the deck set at 3.5", and I don't take off too much at a time. The deck itself is kept pretty clean underneath. Yet I still seem to get clippings clearly visible laying on the lawn...

Thinking of going to a Lithium Iron Prosphate (LiFePO4) Battery

I just bought a Noco lithium for my motorcycle and really like it. Still strongly considering one for the Gravely. Plus, all my chargers are Noco, which make it easy to charge both lead-acid and LiFePO4 batteries. Guess the next step is to start contacting manufacturers... Anyone already tried one?

How much can I safely pull...

And, since I've 'got the floor', a second related question. Setting aside the pros & cons of rolling a lawn, figuring that a water roller weighs ~ 400 lbs., this too would be frowned upon?

    ...with my '17 Gravely HD ZT 60 with a Kohler7000, believe a 25.5 hp? Reason I ask, I just purchased a Sure-Trac 7' X 12' utility trailer. Think it weighs ~ 1,000 lbs. Kohler SV730 vs Kohler ZT730

Guy, got quite a problem brewing here with the daughter-in-laws' JD Z520A. Dealer 'worked' on it last year to the tune of ~$1100. Long story short, somehow oil leaked out of engine & she blew up.
