only the one with the problem, I see you have the type with a fan. string, plastic bags etc get wrapped on the shaft at the seal for the charge pump and damage it. will suck air in but may not leak. it will never purge right. check that seal

i have worked on this model for many years, 9 times out of 10 the short is in the headlights. the harness falls on the muffler and melts it. check there first.

a heads up on the new fx850efi engine with electronic throttle, seen this problem twice now. engine starts surging up and down, check battery voltage, will be high about 17 volts. unplug regulator, problem goes away. replace regulator. seems computer is trying to lower voltage by throttling...
