Has anyone had any experience with these mowers?
The self drive works by allowing the gearbox to rotate upwards thus allowing the drive belt to tenstion and produce drive. I'm looking for a drawing to help me re build the machine
Has anyone come up with a fix to be able to adjust the slow running screw on these mower motors?
It is nigh impossible to get to the screw adjuster as it is hidden away under the engine cover etc.
Is there a trick or tool that will make the adjustment easy or is it a case of skinned knuckles and...
The owner has added new oil so smells OK. What I do notice is there is oilcoming up through the snall hole at the bottom of the breather chamber when I turn the motor over by hand.
I have been asked to look at a lawn mower fitted with Tecumseh motor. I can see the label on the side of the model that states CTR156 does this make any sense to anyone.
The problem is there is oil coming out of the crank case breather.

It looks like I have to torque down one bolt that lies underneath the tinwork and there are spacers that appear to go underneath it all.

I've just spent 3 hours of my life treying to get the damn things back in even using a valve lifter. Please someone tell me there must be a way!

Managed to chuck the cone, just, took a flyer on the job which went well. clutch now all back together and working well. I removed 2.5mm from the edge, removed and re-sized the liner and re-fitted it and re-assembled the whole thing. All working great now. A word of caution, chucking the cone on...
OK, so info for anyone that may need it. I've managed to speak to a supplier here in the UK that has advised me that the inner cone is in fact at the end of it's life. I need a new inner cone or, I can rig up the cone in a lathe and machine of 4-5mm off the back edge to give the clearance need...
