It is almost 2 years later since this post and yes Craftsman is the majority of all OPE on Lowes site but Kobalt still is in 2nd place:
Items online vs. at my local store:
Craftsman ...... 391 vs. 101
Kobalt ............. 249 vs. 51
EGO ............... 143 vs. 18
Greenworks ... 177 vs. 9 (incl...
Was bored today and looking thru treads here and realized I never posted a review of the Kobalt 80V 21" Self Propelled Mower that I bought in July 2020.
I did mention the purchase and discussed using it in post 3 of this thread...
UPDATE ... the Unicorn is still out of stock:
https://greenworks.ordertree.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=2908902
Was hoping to buy a couple more for the mowing season, oh well.
Doug
The question was asked on the GW site and here was their reply:
Thank you for your question. C-400 Rapid charger will accept any 40v G-Max or Elite battery.
Here is a link to it:
https://www.greenworkstools.com/40v-rapid-battery-charger-2929902
This charger is $60 on GW's site but is now down to $25.49 on Amazon & eBay.
I was pretty sure MowerMike bought one and made a post about it, but could not find the post.
I do have 2 each of the 6A & 3A Elite batteries (plus 3 4A, 1 2.5A & 1 2A GMAX), but I've also got 5 of the 2.2 A...
Another bonus I recently read on the Menards site is their 80V line batteries interchange with Greenworks 80V batteries.
What a concept, wish all the brands made by Greenworks (Kobalt, Snapper, etc.) had interchangeable batteries.
Doug
In the LB Model Number list I have, there is no "S" designation listed for any models in 1983, so I don't know what that could be. Even scrolled a few years back & forward from 1983 and saw no "S" on the end of any model numbers.
Doug
Interesting that the 8673 is 21" cut, the cast aluminum deck versions like this from the 80's were usually (if not all) 20" cut.
In 1983 there was a 4573 that seems to be the same specs and not SP ... could be the model number of what you have.
Doug
That is an odd mower can't say I've ever seen one ... made only in 1995-1996.
In the accessory list for it on the Lawn-Boy site, they list this:
59172 - Recycler Kit for Vacu-Power
Here is one on ebay...
The lightest blower I have is the first Ryobi 18V (P2102, 120 MPH / 120 CFM) and it weighs 4.57 lbs. w/ 4Ah battery.
GW states the 240032 40V Brushless Axial Blower is:
7.46 lbs. no battery & 9.26 lbs. with the 2Ah Battery
which is heavier than the 40V Brushless Blower-Vac set up as a blower...
I've got the 40V Brushless Blower/Vac Mike mentions and it works great for both blowing and vacuuming. I was going to add the 40V Brushless Jet Fan that Mike also mentioned to my collection but instead bought the 80V Kobalt Brushless Axial Jet Fan which is so much more powerful and not much...
You got my curiosity up so I searched for that 84004556 Mulching Blade and looks like it can be had for $19.01 on Snapper's site.
Post a side by side picture of it and the standard blade when you get it. My guess is the blades are the same as the Std. & HD GW blades unless Snapper...
Well that's a good sign then that the unicorn may ride again !!
I'll keep an eye on it as I'd like to buy 1 or 2 more of them and post in this or the other thread if you see they are back in stock.
Thanks,
Doug
Not only does it say "Out of Stock" it also says "No Longer Available".
Thank's to Mikes original post about this "unicorn" blade, I bought one to try out on my Greenworks 40V Self Propelled mower. It ran at the high 3200 RPM the whole time and quickly depleted the 4Ah battery in around 14...
He's obviously got a lemon for a mower. The 40V, 60V, & 80V Greenworks built mowers from all the various brand names are great and REAL functional mowers.
Doug
Guess I did not see that you had mentioned that mower as well in the opening post ... so that 21" 60V mower comes with 1 5Ah battery and would be $49 cheaper than the Kobalt.
He did also mention he was not sure of the goofy control levers which would be a concern of mine too until I had a...
The Greenworks 25" 60V mower with it's dual blade and auto switching dual battery features over complicate the mower.
It is a single motor driving a gearbox of some sort that keeps the overlapping blades timed so they don't hit each other. Like everything now a days, it is likely a sealed...
As mentioned in another thread, I bought the Kobalt 80V 22" Brushless Snow Thrower back in May of 2019 and it came with a 5Ah battery. Later that same month I bought the KHB 2580-06 Brushless Blower that came with a 2.5Ah battery. Used the 5Ah in the blower a few times to give it some...
I've got 2 40V 21" Deck Greenworks mowers, one is self-propelled and the other not.
If you have any hills, you like to bag, or if it takes you more than 30-40 min. to cut your lawn now, you may want to go with a self propelled and just teach yourself / get used to how RWD is designed to work...
The brushes could be shot, but good chance they are either not serviceable or not sold as spare parts by Kobalt. Owners manual states it has a 5 year warranty ...
https://pdf.lowes.com/useandcareguides/841821012038_use.pdf
… so maybe they will send you parts or a new motor at no charge if you...
Same 140 MPH as my 80V Kobalt, but 70 more CFM (700 vs. 630 for Kobalt) ... don't know if it is worth it at over double the price though.
The Kobalt is nicely balanced and an acceptable weight with the 2.5Ah battery that came with it.
With the 5Ah battery from the snow blower balance is off...
On the Menards page for the 80V SP Mower it states "21 IN. Cutting Width" ... but like all the GW made mowers it is based off it is a "21 IN. Deck" with a 20 IN. wide Blade.
Too bad, that got my hopes up that GW finally built a 21" cutting width mower.
The new silly 25" dual blade 60V GW...
I'm assuming you have model KMP 6080-06 as this is the model normally stocked at the store.
Press & hold the black rectangular "safety switch button" (below the battery indicator on console) then pull back on the black bail lever and release the safety switch button once blade starts spinning...
I noticed that later on but did not go back to see if they ALL were free product reviews. Got to wonder how you get on the "free product for review" deal. You, me and others on this forum would be ideal candidates as I think we analyze things more than most and would supply more valuable...
I had not heard of this new 25" twin blade mower until you mentioned it here. Looks like it has been out a while as there are already 44 reviews on GW's web site.
Pretty impressive to say the least.
The blades appear to overlap, which makes me wonder how they are timed. Has to be a single...
And like most others out there is made by Greenworks.
https://www.menards.com/main/search.html?sf_categoryHierarchy=&search=masterforce+80+volt
As Menards has decent sales & clearance at times it would be nice if the batteries interchanged with Kobalt (or any of the other brands made by GW)...
And people were thinking CRAFTSMAN was going to push Greenworks and maybe even Kobalt out of Lowes.
Since I invested in 80V Kobalt last May as a power upgrade to my already extensive 40V GW OPE tool set, I have no interest into jumping into the GW 60V platform as well.
Was hoping Lowes would...
Just like everyone else, my Snow thrower came without the plastic SKID PLATES that pretty much every reviewer on the Lowes site claim are mandatory. They went so far as even putting stickers over them in the manual and on the outside of the box (date code on blower 08/25/18).
Well it seems...
I've never owned a Pressure Washer and just borrowed an Electric AR Blue Clean 142S from a friend to simplify cleaning up my black walnut harvest.
Had only around 60 nuts collected so far (the trees will be raining nuts any day now) for my test run. First put all the de-hulled nuts in a 5...
There was a great bit of discussion of the Greenworks Elite Batteries in the "Ryobi finally has a Steel Deck 40V push mower …" thread I started on April 24th, but thought I'd start a NEW thread for further discussion. Funny, that thread got hijacked almost immediately and there was actually...
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-80-v...ded/1000486349
They still showed 5 in stock, so I went to Lowes today and picked one up.
Reg $499.00 … clearance @ $399.00 and I used the 10% off OPE coupon (good thru 5/8) and got it for $359.10 + tax.
Came with 5Ah battery & Charger.
States 60 minutes...

Kinda looks like it could be a Greenworks deck (therefore Greenworks built mower), but hard to tell under all their...
Did a quick check on Lowes.com to see if they had any clearance 60-80V cordless snowblowers and ran across this …
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-80-v...ded/1000486349
I bought into the Greenworks 40V line last Summer and the only tool that has disappointed me so far is the 26272 20" Snowthower...
Noticed my local LOWES had 3 in stock so I stopped by to check them out and see if they are the same as a Greenworks 21" blade.
YES … Kobalt blade number 648547 has the two "ARROW" cutouts and were even stamped with 333041179 which is the correct Greenworks blade that fits all G-Max 40V, 60V &...
REVIEW:
UPS dropped off my MO40L02 around 2:00 and I just got done mowing my complete 15,000 sq-ft. yard with it.
Self Propel Speed on MAX the whole time, grass was long in spots, brown in others so not too much of a load … cutting motor kicked into high speed maybe 6-10 times in the thicker...
