I have a Troy- built TuffCut 230 21" cut 6.75 hp eith smart touch push lever starting. Cleaned carburetor, plug, changed oil and primer bulb. When I can get it to start it runs awesome; however the problem is getting it started. Seems like the starter does not have enough recoil wind to fully...

Check fuses, especially battery charging fuse, check fan belt if there is one either replace or tighten. Battery could be not charging dropping out low voltage shutdown relay or switch.

What is the next step. I have the exact same model. Troy-built TB30 Tuff cut smart touch push lever starting system. Plug, fuel, air all good starts sometimes and runs great when it starts. The symptom are exactly the same as the others that are previously described. Seems like to me there is...
