    Wait until dark, then watch the area while someone cranks the engine. If you see any spark, that is normally your problem area.

    Just a quick test, unplug one plug wire and start. Plug it back in. Then try the other side, see if it runs on both, or just one side.

    Stop by the Stihl dealer and get a pawl, most aftermarket starter parts are junk. You could get the 2 pawl spring, they should have one.

    Yes, the arbor comes off like a bolt/nut, reverse thread, and you can attach a blade, or another universal type head. They will come in a form like this.

    See if you can remove the arbor, it goes with the old trimmer head. See what is underneath. Just put a drill bit in the hole to lock things, but don't use too much force.

    No, it is not normal. Adjusting the carb involves fuel/air mixture adjustments along with rpms, and incorrectly doing it can cause piston damage. Here is the pic of a fs56 carb, and its adjustment screws.

    Yeah, you really need to replace the lines along with the grommet. Also, you may have hooked the lines back up incorrectly.
