Bought a new 725DT6 a couple of weeks ago. Mowed 8 or so acres around the house yesterday. Brought it out today and lifted the powerfold deck. Took the blades off, sharpened them and put them back on. Let the deck down and the actuator just died. It stopped at about 3 1/2 inches. Won't move in either direction and no sound at all. Metered the two way female connector to actuator motor and it didn't show any voltage. There is no specific fuse for the lift in the fuse box. I followed the black and white wires going to the actuator looking for an inline fuse and and came to a six-way plug that goes to the universal wiring harness according to the wiring diagram. That's where I quit. When I started it up the deck dropped from 3 1/2 inches to as low as it would go. I can't imagine anything serious but when it comes to wiring I am as useless as a bent nail. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks in advance for reading this long-winded post.

New unit, couple of weeks old, no brainer. This unit is under warranty and you should be looking to your dealer for help. Why possibly losing your warranty by trying to fix it yourself.

You are exactly right. My only issue is the closest dealer is over 50 miles away and I don't know how easy it will be to load on my trailer since the deck is stuck in the very lowest position. Just trying to see if I can avoid the trip but I understand what you are saying about losing the warranty. Thanks

If it is hydraulic actuated you may have to loosen a fitting and manually raise the deck, then tighten the connections to hole it in place. Call the dealer and ask them how they would handle the problem of transporting the unit.

Thanks Rivets. I just found the problem about an hour ago. I started following the wiring and there was a 40 amp inline fuse near the battery that was blown. Stuck a new one in and was on my way. Thanks again for the replies, I appreciate it.

What type of fuse is this 40 amp inline? standard ato/atc, maxi, or other? I may be having the same issue. I see the fuse in the electrical diagram in the Grasshopper manual but it doesn't state the fuse type... go figure. A heads up on the type would save me another trip into town. Thanks!
