Just did my homework and going to buy another YTX12-BS, the other battery is too small for the size of the engine application. I could go one battery size up (YTX14-BS) but I don't see the need to.

The machine has a 12hp 42 inch deck that in 2020 I installed a YTX12-BS battery (10Ah/180CCA) Can/should I use a ST5L-BS (4.5Ah/80CCA)? Was the first battery selection overkill?

Right on my piston the number is 13001-7031, yes I know that. To put this to rest I bought ring set 13008-0583 for this piston.

Bert how do you know I wasn't taught correctly? Were you in the same automotive class I was in?

Why can't the rings be filed ? Also there is another ring set for this engine #13008-0582. Are these for standard bore?

I have a set of OEM rings #13001-7031 L,0.5 Are these file to fit rings? Also the only markings on them is blue paint on one ring. So which ring is the top one?
