Around here, (east Texas) it goes from the refinery to the gas station. The two gas stations across from the shop has at least one truck a week refilling their supply.

It held 7lbs for the 5 minutes I pressure tested it. Also something I noticed, nothing really changes now about the L side. It idles fine, even when it's completely closed.

Was thinking water in the gas too. Experience has taught me to drain several ounces gas from the entire tank fuel line during all carb cleanings. It's a bich to R & R a carb, only to find water still in the lines.

I had of these a few months ago. It actually wideneed the gap in the crankshaft keyway. I wrapped the new flywheel key a couple of rounds with tin foil. Customer hasn't called me back. So I guess it's still good. His key was stretched and bent out of shape, instead of breaking.

Yes sir. Loosen the nut. Push throttle lever to WOT, (clockwise) then turn the governor rod clockwise til it stops. Tighten nut. About 4 times now. With the throttle lever pushed all the way (towards the carb) it's still wide open.

I suppose, that after you set the governor, Both the governor shaft and the arm clockwise) and bent the spring tab down (closer towards the spring) and it still runs wide open, then the governors broke, right?

What does anyone think about WD40 as a parts cleaner. I know it works awesome on aluminium. But IIRC, @bertsmobile1 said something about some adverse affects it has on plastics or rubber. But can't remember exactly what he said.

The new shop I'm at now came with a parts cleaner vat. The pump still works pretty good. But the grud in it, needs to be removed and some new solvent put in it. I was thinking about using WD40, simply because it's a good cleaner. Especially on aluminium. What's everyone else's choice for this?

The spring under the hub on this saw... When I tighten down the screw that holds it to recoil, it tightens everything down. When I keep the screw loose enough to pull the recoil rope, after a few pulls, the recoil is tight again. I'm not missing any parts, as seen in this diagram. 33 through...

No, I didn't take one. I ended up grinding off a little of the dust cover to fit the tool I made between the bearing and the spindle shoulder (at the bottom).

The spindles without the dust covers close to the bearings, I have no problem with. It's the ones without enough room to get between the dust covers and bearings that I'm talking about. Trying to figure out a way to get those bearings off without doing anything to the dust covers.

Surging is usually the engine not getting enough fuel. You probably have a clogged jet that didn't get cleaned. Post the engine model number.

Yes, the primer rebounds immediately. And has some fuel sucking up into it. But not much. And after thinking about this, if the primer wasn't rebounding, that would mean a clog. Rebounding quickly, with mostly air, makes it a leak somewhere. I've got that fancy MityVac, the one that...

Use the engine model number to find the correct alternator. But make sure it is the alternator before you replace it. Because if it's not, then you'll be wasting your money. And you'll still have to fix what ever is actually wrong. Alternators rarely go out.

If the CCA's and the battery isn't defective, take a multi meter, with the engine running and see if the battery is getting any juice. It should read close to 14. If it's not, then you'll need to check the wiring coming out of the alternator. If it shows to be producing voltage, then your...

After 3 months, the Hart impact is still working good. Even after a few falls from about 4'. I go about 3 days before charging the battery. And actually, I don't need to charge it then. It just dawns on me it's been a few days since it was charged.

The bigger the yard, the more profit. I installed a sprinkler system at my old house, it was easy peasy. The hardest part was learning to use the trencher. But after about 10 minutes, I had it down pat. Seriously, sprinkler systems are easy money.

Get you some sanding disks, instead of the grinding blades. My son, who's a welder, calls them tiger disks. I use about a medium grade disk. They make sharpening a lot easier.
