    Buying advice

Find a local Ariens/Gravely dealer and check out the Ariens Apex mowers. They should come in right around $5,000. They come with Hydro-Gear ZT3100 hydros. The Bobcat has ZT2800s.

HELP !!!!! This snapper ZT is driving to the looney bin.

Part #9 is the spindle shaft. There are splines on part #9. The pulleys should have matching splines. The big nut has to come off of the long blade bolt. Those pulleys have probably never been off. You are going to need a puller and a good soaking of liquid wrench to pull those pulleys.

HELP !!!!! This snapper ZT is driving to the looney bin.

It looks like a long bolt goes all the way through the spindle and pulley and is all held together with a nut on top of the pulley. See Page 47. Page 58 shows the spindle assemblies breakdown. https://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/default.aspx?filename=ahnmzJvLlSZk

SHRPENING BLADES Is there really a better way?

@bertsmobile1 You are correct. Many mower blades are hardened and filing can take a long time to get a sharp edge. A file that is made for sharpening axes is going to work best. However, it’s still going to take quiet a while to get a sharp edge.

SHRPENING BLADES Is there really a better way?

@bertsmobile1 I’ve been using files for quite a while too. A double cut works well on mower blades. I just got tired of spending that amount of time sharpening three mower blades at the time. I can work a 4.5” angle grinder really well and get a great edge on blades. A 40 grit flapper wheel...

    Finding a Legit Oil Filter

I started out with a 50” Toro Timecutter. Mowing took forever and the cut never looked that great. I decided to trade up to a...

    ZT52HD DECK VIBRATION FIX

@coder I use a floor jack to access the blades. Use jack stands for safety. I have a DeWalt cordless impact to remove and install the blade bolts.
