Turns out I didn't do my homework. Sensors and gauges ohm ranges have to match and I didn't research that. Thanks for responses

I replaced my sensor with an aftermarket one. The gauge works because when I ground the signal wire, it shows full. The new unit will only make the gauge show 1/2 even though the float is moved to the full position. I have included three pics, with the float rod in the empty, 1/2, and full...
