    Uneven Cutting

Since your mower is only a few months old, you might want to talk your cutting issue over with the dealer who sold it to you. Has it always cut like this or did the problem just begin? If it's always been like this, I'd suspect it was never set up correctly by the dealer. If it just started...

Why do some riding mowers die (especially MTD) when I try to engage blades at low and mid rpm?

Engines that are not warmed up are more prone to do that. When the load is applied, the governor detects the decrease in rpm from the applied load and opens the throttle to bring the rpm back up. But that creates a lean condition and if not corrected with the choke, the engine will die. Two...

Problems Tapping/reaming new spark plug hole

I'm guessing the number of plugs I've installed is in the high hundreds, if not thousands. You'd think if installing plugs with anti-seize on them would cause problems, it would have shown up by now. But it hasn't.

    ZTurn question

Just my opinion, if you're only mowing your own yard, you don't need a commercial mower. What would be nice, though, is to move up to one with suspension or at least a pivoting front axle. On rough ground, rigid frame zero turns often will have no traction on the wheel you want to drive. But...

Problems Tapping/reaming new spark plug hole

I've never used oil but have used anti-seize. Don't know if it helps but so far has not hurt anything, either. 15-18 ft-lb is about what I put on them, if that, using my un-calibrated hand and a 3/8" ratchet to compress the gasket. Have never had one come loose or stripped a thread, either.

New 2020 Conquest mower deck leveling

When the blades are aligned parallel with the front to back axis of the mower, the front of the blade should be lower than the rear. Your manual, when you get it, should tell you how much. The blades should be the same when checked left to right.

    New Oil Filter for FR/FS & FX Kawasaki's 49065-0724

Fram got a bad reputation from being counterfeited. The Fram filters were targeted by counterfeiters because Fram was one of the best selling brands. Fram certainly had the capability to make good filters because they'd done it in the past. I guess what I'm getting at is I wouldn't worry...

Is a Spark Arrestor really Necessary?

I got to paragraph 2 and quit reading this. It sounds just like the old hogwash that if you use handloaded ammunition in your gun and have to use it to stop a criminal from doing harm to you or your family, YOU will be the one going to jail. For one thing, is a person who buys a used two-cycle...

722DT6 stalls when try to engage mower

It can get expensive to throw parts at a Kubota diesel. Do a search on here for another diesel Grasshopper that had similar problems and it turned out to be grass clippings in the fuel tank.

    Getting small, best lawn tractor.

Most tractors now sell for less than they did thirty years ago. That should raise a red flag as to what kind of quality you'll be getting. In a time in which the dollar buys far less than what it did thirty years ago, how can this possibly be? Answer is, it can't. I have a 1994 Cub Cadet...

UPDATE: SOLVED! Only runs if tank 1/2 full +?? Carb problem?

Does the fuel line come out the top of the fuel tank? If so, it may have a leak about halfway down inside the tank.

Cub Cadet 1515 Clogged fuel line?

'In line' means anywhere in the fuel line between the fuel tank and carburetor. I'm not recommending this place, just using it for a picture of an inline fuel filter.

Bolens/MTD will not come out of gear unless engine stopped.

I wish I could help you with the adjustment but I'm not familiar with your mower. I should have said "Your clutch might be dragging" instead of "Clutch is dragging." That made it sound like I know exactly what's wrong but I don't. Your mower has the symptoms of a dragging clutch. If you...

    Seized?

New engines are a lot of money. New mowers are even more. Compare the cost of a new engine against the cost of a new mower of equal capability. If the rest of the mower is in good shape and a replacement engine is available, that might be the best way to go.

    Help

There are several safety switches that prevent the engine from starting and the mower clutch from engaging. Typically they are on the seat, parking brake, and blade clutch. All of these have to be satisfied to start the engine and activate the mower.
