FWIW: Warranty work after big box store purchase would go to closest authorized dealer. And since it wasn't initally bought there, they will not be in a rush to get to it imo.

I live next to a large farm, they got a New 61" Scag TC II, but were complaining that it just was covering them with cuttings & crud (Blow-back). But was a super mower. I have a friend that has one in NJ, & he said there is a Baffle in front of the blades & factory sets it @ 1/4" higher than...

And Scag has just said the new Battery Power Zero turn Liberty for example, for 2022 will cost $15K..................... That's insane.

Good point. When I talked to my old Toro Dealer, they did say the 2 new Z's & that they had did have Toro branded engines. I made the mistake years ago @ Toro Dealer of saying the Toro brand engines are from China aren't they ? Knowing full they were. He got very irate & said they are Toro...

Ouch, I'd have to try & drill & tap it first. Never know.

My Toro Dealer is struggling, Called & said to send him any mowers, he only has 2 New Toro's on the floor.

In cleaning my Kaw 651V engine off, I noticed the lowest oil passage "allen wrench end plug" under the oil filter, had slight weep of oil under it (see arrow in pic) . Nothing earth shattering. But w/only 12.8 hours on it. I had to check into it. (I would have anyhow). I cleaned the area...

My Antique 22" Flatty B&S push mow has the 5 point star. the clearance around the blade tips to deck is pretty close, in a few areas. I couldn't even get my lil finger in between. Just FYI. It still has the OE blade, can't find another.

It looks like a smaller Scag. Only engine mentioned was a 20 hp Kohler. Got the pic. No pricing was mentioned as yet, but do know current models have had a price increase, if you can find any... No word if the 5 year warranty is still included, like my 48" Liberty has.

"Tweels" ain't cheap, & I have seen pics of some that did break down in time. (after warranty ending, naturally)..

I have the same model Liberty, & since my former Toro had the same Kawasaki engine & I was stocked up. I will be using the OE NGK plugs, till my supply runs out.

Out of my 2014 Toro catalog, it shows the Toro Timecutter SS 4235 to be 71.8" w/no hitch. But they possibly have changed since '14..

Been hearing that Scag is gonna be previewing a battery powered Z for the new Year.. Arrgh..

They just BS'd you, Scag's are hard to get as well as many other brands since the new socialist (puppet) leader is there. Bert- you said: An old engineering friend used to call stuff like this mudguards , Shinny on the top and S**T underneath . Around here we call that "Lipstick on a pig"..

On Ebay I have seen drain hoses from Kawasaki that are 16" long & are correct for the M-20 2.50 thread.

True, they do indeed.,& 5 year warranty....... One thing I like about Scag Liberty's are like my 48" cutter, has overall width of only 49"............... My previous Toro 42" (SS-4260) Timecutter was a whopping width of 45.3" on stamped deck. was great mower, but too much width for the size.

The M-20 is a metric thread. The correct EZ drain is supposed to be direct fit.

Reduce the pic size, If you're unsure how to. You can click to email it & add to you, then you can pick the size. There is talk of Scag coming out w/ a 42" Liberty, with 2800's on it.

Hard to put in a good one when it's all rigged..

FWIW: For 7 years I mowed with my 42" Toro which had 2100's.. Never any issue. And I pulled the aerator, roller & yard wagon (loaded). But because of the mower shortage @ Dealers, & used market being red hot, I sold it for almost what I paid for it new ( - $300.). I had 18 people lined up...

Interesting, & Scag & Gravely use "marbain steel blades", which is a heat treatment process.

I'd add, it's all politics.

Thanks for the 411, I am out of touch w/Toro since I sold my Timecutter off.. Long ago I did test a Titan & it was overweight & under powered on asphalt.

My 2021 Liberty Z book states 100 hours for 1st hydro service. But I plan to do them at 50 hours, to get off to a good start imo. But I'm certainly not doing them each year. And I will do mine here at my place.

Toro Titan is too heavy, imo. Now My Scag Liberty is a beefy but not overweight machine.

Cool, My Toro FR651V came with pre-filter, But I built my own Donaldson set up. Solid as a rock. But here in the states, the Dealer said it would void warranty. So I waited till out of warranty, & added it.

The wheels out further is like adding leverage on the axles when you hit bumps etc.. Probably be ok, but just my .02 Load capacity can be found on Hydro-gear website for your 2100's.

The more you hang those wheels out farther adds stress on the axles.. Just saying..
