Modding the eGo battery powered trimmer

A dedicated edger or edging attachment for a power head, will do a better job than a string trimmer too. that said, even if you could rig something up, unlikely to be worth the money and hassle. MAYBE, if you found a different brand trimmer that does have the little wheel(s) on it being thrown...

B&D Cordless lawn mower economically repairable?

I'm unfamiliar with it, but on some Greenworks models there have been 'electro-mechanical' problems with safety devices and loose 'deadman bail' cables, etc. Search Youtube too, occasionally good videos of troubleshooting stuff. paging @MowerMike

    Replacement blower?

the little blower I have now weighs 3.3 lbs !!! if she's gonna notice the weight anyway (hah!), might put the blower/vac on price watch. In the past, I had a blower/vac but the vac part was annoying, too much time emptying the dang bag. MUCH less leaf litter at this property. Are the axials...

    Snapper xd 82v blade speed

Some people will not be pleased with the current (hah) batt-pwrd, mowers. But I don't think they are all that bad for many others. I didn't switch due to environmental reasons, I did it for convenience. I belong to some other forums and on one of them there is a yard equipment thread. Folks get...

    Well that was amazing

cool! I'd be tempted to throw a bottle of HEET or 2 in the tank but, maybe not required.

blade bolt metric or standard U.S.?

bolt diam of about 3/8" probably means a head of about 9/16" or 14mm ( close to each other, 14mm would be 'loose' on 9/16".)

    Replacement blower?

Still using the GW 40v 24282 blower from over 7 years ago. It's getting 'rattle-y' in use like the motor bushings are worn. Thing is, there's 3-4 or more GW blowers at 40v. So, wondering which would be a good fit. My wife likes the light weight of the present blower, but I would at least like...

I lost the crab grass battle this year

I do have Asiatic Dayflower coming up between foundation and patio so, I may try salt/vinegar there. Thanks. But our little town's water is quite high in salt so, I'm reluctant to use any on the lawn. It gets more than enough from the sprinkler!

I lost the crab grass battle this year

I just used Double Duty from Ace. Next spring, I think I'm going back to Hi-yield, less fertilizer.

    Sandpur

One problem is the seeds, I've read they can be dormant for 4 years so, dligent use of premergent is required even if you manage to kill the plants with post-emergeent. I think Dithiopyr (Dimension) may be a little better than other pre-ems. OR, use Dimension in spring and a different one in...

I lost the crab grass battle this year

make sure you know the difference between Dallis grass and crab grass. At present, my go-to formula for spot treatment is 4 oz of Bonide (BND069) - Sedge Ender Weed Control Concentrate, plus, 2oz of Image 100099405 Kills Nutsedge Concentrate in a 1 gal pump. It has helped me a LOT with most...
