Yep, that's the idea!

Got roughly 2 hours of mowing done last nite and tonite between rainfalls. What I said about heavy rainfalls last weekend here was said to be true in the local community newspaper...it confirms that certain areas of my township got 3.5 inches of rainfall in a 2 HOUR PERIOD LAST FRIDAY NIGHT !!!!

The local newspaper for the Lansing, Michigan area says rainfall for the area THIS MONTH is 3.47 inches....HAHAHAHA.

Little more than 1.5" of rain over the past 11 weeks here. With daily highs in the 90's, it's crispy, powder dry here.
Irrigation is and has been prohibited for 6 days a week since March. I haven't used my primary mower in 2 months.
Fires are popping up across the state.
Surprisingly, I see people on thier mowers during the afternoon in a thick cloud of brown dust. I don't know what they could possibly be cutting as the grass is not growing and even dying in some areas. One neighbor insists on using the mower once a week.

I see that sometimes during the dry summer seasons here, and wonder WTF are they mowing or just trying to stir up the dust???

Even with my Ventrac in great shape and needing no repairs, I found out that the EPA(in all their wisdom) has decided that the 31 Hp Gas Briggs water cooled Engine that Ventrac uses will not meet new standards next year 2012 and that Engine will not be available. SO - I ordered one NOW and will be getting one of the last 4231 Gas Water Cooled Ventracs. If you are interested there are pictures of it in the crate at the factory ready to be shipped to my dealer. Check out the Ventrac Forum for pictures. {more to come when it arrives and is delivered} !
